DD Ranch Educational Field Trips

              Where exploration, education and farming meet!

April – Nov.

We are looking to operate our field trips on Tuesdays and Fridays, however, if those two days are just not possible we can work with adding a day for big enough groups.

 The Educational Field trip ( 2 hours)  will include $ 8.00 per student/ 15 student minimum*:

  • Intro/ 10 Min.
  • The Hayride: feed the cows, ask the Rancher questions (30 Min.)
  • 5 minute transition
  • Animal Exploration in the Petting Zoo ( With animal talk)(30 Min.)
  • 5 minute transition
  • Our new educational edition called ” What’s all the Buzz about Bees” ( 30 Min.)
  • 5 Minute Transition
  • Planting in Spring/ Harvesting in the Fall ( Plus getting a small pumpkin to take home) (20 Min.)

Basic Field Trip (1.5) will include $ 6.00 per student/15 student minimum*:

  • Intro/10 Min.
  • Animal Exploration in Petting Zoo( with animal talk)(30 Min.)
  • 5 Min. Transition
  • ” Whats all the Buzz about Bees” (30 Min.)    
  • 5 Min. Transition
  • Planting in Spring/ Harvesting in the Fall ( Plus getting a small pumpkin to take home) ( 20 Min.)

* We are happy to host groups smaller than 15 if we can pair two small groups during the same time, or alternatively, groups can pay for the minimum number.

At the end of your field trip, feel free to play in the Kids Corral and/or to eat your lunch in one of our picnic areas.  Please note that this is not included in your 2 hour time frame.

“What’s the Buzz about Bees” Will include tasting the local honey we sell, trying on Beekeeping protective gear, seeing and touching a real honeycomb, each student also will be planting their own Bee friendly plant to take home.(during Spring field trips only). ( They can transplant the seedling in their own backyards once it gets warm enough)
