GRASS FINISHED LAMB

Our sheep are raised in the same way as our cattle – 100% grass fed and finished, with a mind towards organic standards and without all the other stuff. We raise Suffolk, Hampshire, Katahdin, Dorper, and Romney breeds. Our sheep live out their days on pasture as well.

WHY GRASS FED?

Grass-fed lamb has more omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and CLA (a beneficial fat), and less total fat than grain-fed beef. It's also a good source of protein, vitamins A, E, and B12, and minerals like zinc, selenium, and iron. These nutrients can help reduce inflammation and may also help fight cancer.

Grass-fed animals can also improve the soil with organic matter, help filter water, and restore local habitats. Managed grazing has a smaller impact on the environment  leading to better water quality and less soil erosion
